Happy Birthday to your dad! What a cool way to bring extend dad trying in both generational directions. Also, thank you for your honesty about how dark life can feel sometimes and how it affects creativity. Everyone has their own "stuff," but it's easy to feel alone in our struggles. Glad you're feeling yourself again.

Thanks Maria! I’m looking forward to adding those generational elements to dad trying going forward, and I hope folks enjoy it! And, yes, we all have our stuff, and it’s hard to create from a place of depletion (although it’s certainly possible). I’m happy to be getting back to normal here (whatever that means for me 🤣). I hope all is well with you!

Happy 65th birthday to your Dad! I listened this morning as I was driving to mom drop off and errands. Very well said. Chronic illness is so difficult. My husband was just diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. He is active and fit like your dad and it doesn't make sense does it? Looking forward to you and your Dad's podcast

Thanks Jane! I’m looking forward to sharing the interviews with all of you. And, yeah, it certainly doesn’t make sense. I hope all is well with you and your husband going forward!

Happy Birthday Jacob’s Dad!

This sounds like a great project! I use StoryCorp with my students; their resources are fantastic. One of my favorite learning experiences is having my students interview a family member.
